Hello and welcome to Module 04: "Legal Frameworks"!
Legal Frameworks
When dealing with the topic of proctoring from a legal perspective, there are 4 components to consider.

    • Security
    • privacy
    • Global standards
    • local standards
The 4 components are presented in the context of different legal frameworks.

The goal of this training is to give you, as a prospective proctoring manager, a broad overview of the different factors influencing the respective implementation of online proctoring. In doing so, different external and internal regulations, as well as the expectations of the respective stakeholders, will be highlighted, and specific practical examples will be used to show how a practice-oriented and sustainable implementation should look like.

    • Learning Unit 1 is focused on global standards:
You will learn about different global standards and legal frameworks that are relevant to the implementation of online proctoring. These must be considered, especially for internationally active institutions.
    • Learning Unit 2 is focusing on local standards:
You will be given an overview of the most important regulations in different regions. This Learning unit will sharpen your view and sensitivity that should lead to the identification of local requirements and regulations. Based on practical examples you will learn how to reconcile the interests of different stakeholders.
    • Learning Unit 3 is focusing on Privacy in assessments:
You will learn more about contractual and organizational aspects of privacy and data protection based on examples of legally compliant contractual implementation.
    • Learning Unit 4 is focusing on Security in assessments:
You will learn what technical and organizational measures in regard to their legal relevance ideally would look like.

Each of the lessons includes its own support document, which you will use to understand how to work through the lessons.

Happy learning and good luck!
