Teamwork is defined as the process of working collaboratively with a group of people, using individual skills and constructive feedback, despite personal conflicts. The foundation for teamwork is a common goal, and effective collaboration can be ensured by clearly defining goals and resolving conflicts of interest. Commitment toward both the team and the task is essential for teamwork effectiveness. Team cohesiveness is positively related to performance, and perceived learning is important for understanding the performance of groups. Ultimately, teamwork is selfless and concentrates on the end goal, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
