To be able to give thorough feedback and achieve a fair and effective assessment the assessment tools being employed must meet these two important criteria: reliability and validity. Even though the criterions of reliability and validity are met there are additional challenges involving security of the assessment process especially in TE/TB learning environments. In order to avoid cheating and plagiarism which becomes much easier with the convenience and flexibility provided by information technologies several measures can be taken. Online proctoring in addition to different software programs is an effective measure for designing and conducting a fair, secure and efficient assessment process in TE/TB education.
